Do you want to know the difference between a successful leader and a frustrated leader?

Their ability to teach.

Effective leadership is based on the ability to instruct others in a way that empowers them to replicate your vision. It’s one thing to communicate the vision, but to teach is totally different. Follow the guidelines below to help you go from communication to teaching to implementation.

Communicating the vision is the first step.  No business initiative is successful without a plan. You have to be able to share this plan with others in a way that is clear and concise. You also need to provide supporting details that allow individuals to connect in some way.

Incorporate relatable imagery and ideals. You have to meet people where they are when you are sharing vision or teaching a new concept. It your idea remains foreign to them and they cannot relate then you just create skepticism rather than buy-in. Use analogies and the art of story telling to communicate your ideas.

Ask for feedback and outline desired next steps.  Always be sure that you are communicating to individuals something that they understand, can reiterate and believe in. If you are missing any of those three factors then you must go back and teach otherwise you will find yourself correcting errors or mistakes.
