Briefing FAQ

A quick orientation before you book — what we research, why it’s worth your time, and how to make your 30 or 60 minutes count.

What we research

What does Jumpstart HR Research focus on?

Two forces reshaping HR’s biggest decisions:

  • The HR Technology Buying Process — what’s breaking inside HR tech evaluations, where buyers stall, and what separates a confident purchase from regret and shelfware. This is the world of our B.R.I.D.G.E. framework.
  • Hybrid Workforce Management & Transformation — what changes when the org chart includes humans and AI agents: how work gets designed, performance gets measured, and new roles take shape. This is our Five Workforces model.

We’re independent and vendor-neutral — no pay-to-play rankings.

Is a briefing a sponsored placement or a sales meeting?

Neither. A briefing is a research conversation — not a sponsorship, and not a sales pitch aimed back at you. Sponsored research, paid advisory, and formal vendor assessments are handled separately. Come to teach us about your product and your category.

Is what I share confidential?

Briefings are recorded for internal research purposes and held under informal NDA. Nothing specific gets published or attributed without your sign-off. If something could inform research, commentary, or analyst notes, we’ll confirm with you first.

For startup founders

I’m early-stage — why do I need an analyst briefing?

Because the people shaping how HR buys should know you exist before you show up on an RFP. A briefing gets you:

  • On the radar of a research desk that talks to HR buyers every week.
  • Honest, vendor-neutral feedback on your positioning, category fit, and roadmap.
  • A clearer read on how HR teams actually evaluate and adopt tools — so you can avoid building something that ends up as shelfware.
How should a startup prepare?

Keep it tight and real — skip the generic pitch deck. Come ready to cover:

  • The buyer problem you solve, and exactly who you solve it for (your ICP).
  • A 2–3 minute live look or a few slides — the actual product beats a polished narrative.
  • Where you fit in the buying journey, and what makes adoption stick.
  • Any traction, funding, or design-partner proof points.

For established HR tech brands

We’re an established brand — what’s the value of briefing you?

To keep our research current on where you’re actually headed — not where your website said you were a year ago. A briefing helps us represent your roadmap, launches, and positioning accurately in category research, and gives you a read on where buyers are stalling and how the hybrid-workforce / AI-agent narrative is landing.

How should an established team prepare?

Focus on what’s changed:

  • What’s new since we last spoke — launches, roadmap direction, repositioning.
  • Customer outcomes and data you can share.
  • Your AI-agent / hybrid-workforce story and how it maps to real usage.
  • Which research stream this connects to — the HR Tech Buying Process, Hybrid Workforce Transformation, or both.

Format & logistics

How long is a briefing, and what are my options?

Choose what fits: a 30-minute virtual briefing for a focused walkthrough, a 60-minute virtual session for a deeper demo or discussion, or an in-person briefing at HR Tech 2026 in Las Vegas (Mandalay Bay, Oct 20–22).

Who should join from our side?

Whoever can speak credibly to the product and roadmap — often a founder, product lead, or product-marketing lead. Two people max keeps it moving; you don’t need a full bench.
